Gold Coast Beach Club Wedding
When I arrived at the bride and groom's Gold Coast, QLD home to photograph the wedding of Jae and Cam, I felt an instant connection and was stunned at the detail everywhere I looked.
This pocket rocket of a woman with flame-red hair and a huge smile greeted me and she looked amazing! I made comments on how gorgeous she looked and her humble response made me smile.
While chatting and documenting the bride getting ready, her bridesmaids informed me that she was a costume designer and met her tiger trainer groom at Dreamworld where they were working at the time. So this gorgeous dress was created by the bride.
But that is not all...during our couple portraits after the ceremony her husband was so proud to tell me how she made their wedding cake. And still, this gorgeous woman had not once alluded to any of this! I cannot say enough how humbling and refreshing this wedding was for me.
The love of these two, the family they had created and their gorgeous son was heartwarming and it was impossible not to become emotional during their ceremony! Honestly, everywhere you looked the relationships and connections this couple had with soo many people were evident.
The venue was in the heart of Broadbeach at the Kurrawa Beach Surf Club. The staff were amazing and the food and service were brilliant.
The bride had a friend do the flowers which were stunning in red and white and the decor was simple and effective.
Now back to the DIY cake!! Make sure you check that out! The story I later found out is that the groom has a collection of planes and his wife broke his very first collectible...it is featured atop the creative piece of art that was the wedding cake!
